By earning these qualifications, we hope to attain your trust and confidence in selecting us as your child care provider. ![]() National Early Childhood Program Accreditation The National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) encourages quality and recognizes excellence in early childhood programs throughout the United States. NECPA supports early care and education by encouraging the availability of high quality, affordable child care and preschool programs for children, families and communities. Accreditation is awarded only to programs that meet NECPA rigorous standards as well as all applicable governmental regulations. Once accredited, each location is reviewed annually by NECPA to verify that the quality standards are maintained. More information about NECPA is available here. ![]() Pennsylvania Keystone STARS is a four-level quality rating system that promotes quality improvement in early learning and school-age child care programs. A Keystone STARS designation informs parents that their children are in a safe, respectful environment in which they are learning new things every day to support their current and future successes in school and in life. In 2010-2011, nearly every preschooler (98%) in Keystone STAR 3 and 4 programs showed age-appropriate or emerging age-appropriate language, math and social skills. All of Brightside Academy’s Pennsylvania locations rank in the top 25 percent of all program providers. Our STAR 3 academies rated in the top 15 percent while our STAR 4 academies rated in the top 10 percent. Click here to find out more about Pennsylvania’s Keystone STARS program. ![]() Ohio Step Up To Quality is a voluntary, quality rating system for early care and education programs that aims to improve the quality of early care and education programs to support children's optimal development and learning, increase the number of high quality early care and education programs serving children, provide parents with an easy-to-use tool for selecting quality early care and education programs for their children, and recognize and support programs that achieve higher levels of quality. New York The state of New York is currently developing QUALITYstarsNY, a voluntary quality rating and improvement system designed to increase quality in early learning centers, schools and homes throughout the state. The program will support the efforts of early care and learning programs to improve the quality of their services and give parents the information they need to make a more informed choice. While QUALITYstarsNY has not officially kicked off, Brightside Academy is working to ensure that our New York academies will earn the highest ranking possible in the fastest time possible.
