Job Title: Assistant Director
Reports To: Center Director
Status: Level II (Exempt)

Description:
Responsible for assisting the Director with the overall day-to-day operations and general management of the center.

Qualifications/Requirements:
A successful Assistant Director must be able to adequately perform each essential duty, and have the following education and experience:

Essential Duties:
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Ensures that the children are supervised at ALL times by staff.
  2. Assists the director in the recruitment, hiring, training, development and monitoring of the center staff to ensure high quality child care services.
  3. Accountable for all actions of center staff.
  4. Acts as a liaison between the teachers and parents addressing problems and answering questions regarding all aspects of center operations.
  5. Knowledge of children enrolled and in attendance, their room assignment and funding status.
  6. Assists the director in properly marketing the center to prospective clients. This includes promoting the facilities, activities, policies and enrollment procedures.
  7. Assists the Director to ensure that the center is operating efficiently and in compliance with all Brightside Academy policies and state regulations.
  8. Ensures that all required corporate paperwork requirements are completed accurately and in a timely manner. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
  9. Communicates all relevant information to the Center Director with respect to staff, children and parents.
  10. Assists the Director in completing annual evaluations for all assigned center staff.
  11. Provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
  12. All other duties as assigned.
