Job Title: Assistant Director in Training
Reports To: Center Director
Status: Level II (Exempt)
Description:
Responsible for assisting the Director with the planning and implementation of the daily program activities as well as other general management duties within the center.
Qualifications/Requirements:
A successful Assistant Director in Training must be able to adequately perform each essential duty, and have the following education and experience:
- Meets state licensing requirements for a Group Supervisor.
- Demonstrates leadership skills.
- Have effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Possesses strong organizational, general office and basic computer skills.
- Flexible and willing to perform any tasks necessary to ensure successful operations.
- Works a minimum of 40 hours per week (20 hours in the classroom and 20 hours in the office). Able to ascertain when additional hours are needed to prevent or solve problems and maintain compliance.
- Understands the chain of command and accepts criticism and suggestions as an opportunity to improve.
- Conducts oneself and represents Brightside Academy in a professional manner at all times.
- Able to solve non-routine problems.
- Able to function independently without constant supervision.
- Frequently lifts or moves weight as in lifting, carrying or holding children and infants of 10-60 lbs.
Essential Duties:
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensures that the children are supervised at ALL times by self and/or staff.
- Assists the director in the planning and implementation of the daily program activities.
- Coordinating activities of all classroom staff and assist with staff professional development
- Knowledge of children enrolled and in attendance, their room assignment and funding status.
- Assists the Director to ensure that the center is operating efficiently and in compliance with all Brightside Academy policies, state regulations and Environmental Rating Scales for all age groups.
- Become proficient in all required corporate paperwork . These responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Enrollment Change Forms
- Daily Deposit
- Monthly Attendance
- Roster Confirmations
- CoPay/PVT Collection
- Writing our Receipts for payments
- Completing and faxing Cash/Check Receipt log information
- SAFA signatures from Parents
- CCIS Notification of Absence; calling Parents and completing form for CCIS
- Faxing Adverse Actions and working with clients to retain funding.
- Eligibility ~ fielding calls from CCIS or DPA relative to our clients needs
- New Client Enrollment Packet – All forms stated on checklist
- Completing Vouchers (Cleveland)
- Headstart Attendance and paperwork
- Payment Arrangement Letters for past due amounts
- Payroll Deduction Forms for Employee children
- CoPay/PVT pay reconciliations
- Reporting Imagistic copy counts monthly to IT Department
- Payroll Reporting
- Petty Cash
- Communicates all relevant information to the Center Director with respect to staff, children and parents.
- Provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
- All other duties as assigned.
