Brightside Academy to move corporate HQ to Downtown Pittsburgh's Gulf Tower
In August, Brightside Academy, Inc. will double the size of its corporate headquarters with a move to the Gulf Tower at 707 Grant St. Downtown.
One of the country’s largest providers of early care and education services for families and children, Brightside Academy—which currently occupies a 6,600-square-foot space in the Ewart Building on Liberty Ave.—has signed a long-term lease for 10,357 square feet in the Downtown Pittsburgh office tower.
Sarah Horn with Brightside Academy says the larger office space will accommodate new staff, provide needed technological upgrades and allow for more flexibility and future opportunities for growth. Describing the Gulf Tower as “one of the premier historical skyscrapers in the world,” Horn says the building’s conference facilities, retail amenities, city views, and visibility along Grant St. are among the Downtown property’s benefits.
The new offices—which will accommodate Brightside’s 45-person staff—will feature on-site file storage, advanced IT services and multiple conference rooms. The child care provider serves approximately 5,500 children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years old, at 47 facilities in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.
“We’re expanding, and with the growth in the field, it requires corporate growth as well,” adds Horn, who says that in 2003, Brightside operated 37 facilities.
